We spent the day getting to know more about Anna Maria Island. First we visited a couple of "Art and Craft Markets." These were in fact small Flea markets selling the same old same old with maybe a little amateur art and crafts thrown in. After that went phhhht we walked around a neighborhood to get the flavor of the place. The beach homes reminded us a bit of Key West.
What we like about the island is the calm, easy-going atmosphere. It has not at all been developed into a tourist trap, at least not yet. The beaches are huge, so far not many people are on them, and parking space is plentiful and free.
We stopped at a beach, set up our folding chairs and invested a little more time in relaxation and reading. On the way home we stopped for ice cream as the accompanying video reveals.

On Thursday when I woke Alexandria up to get ready she asked if they were going to Granny's. I said no, where is granny? She thought for a brief moment and then told me, "Granny is in Florida eating Ice Cream." And there you are!Looks like you are having a great time. Hugs and kisses from all of us. Helena
ReplyDeleteI don't know what looks colder, the ice cream or Mom.
