Last night we stayed at a Quality Inn in Dunn, North Carolina. It wasn't the happiest of our Inn experiences. The parking lot was a long walk in cold rain away from our room. When we started up the heater it sounded like a bear rampaging through a dog pound. I'm surprised the noise didn't make other guests call the police. So we left the heater off while we slept. The guests next door were noisy until the early morning hours. *We* should have called the police. Oh yes, and the Internet service didn't function. Needless to say we toughed it out because it was late when we arrived and many places had no vacancies.
Tonight we're in a Comfort Inn in Saugerties, New York, about a half hour south of Albany. On radio and TV the weather forecasters are highly animated about the mother of all snow storms coming in tonight. From what I've found on the Web it is hardly going to affect Montreal at all so we hope to continue home without much trouble. But if the weather turns bad we'll stay in a motel until it's over.
